Damn, what a week. I'm sure you've heard by now, Program Director Sean Demery resigned his position here at Live 105 on Sept. 6th. It was a surprise to many of us, and it's a real bummer. There's no way to adequately capture everything Sean did for this station, or how much fun it has been to work for him, but if you've enjoyed anything we've done on this radio station over the last 4 years, he is the man to thank for it. So, long story short, Sean kicked ass and we're going to miss him.
That's all I've got right now. Check back soon for more, witty blog-type stuff.
Jaeger's Radio Drinking Game (The Online Edition)
It’s the weekend game that makes your radio interactive. Play while you listen to Jaeger on Friday and Saturday nights! Hooray!
-Take 1 drink anytime I say my name (Jaeger).
-Take 1 drink anytime you hear an "emo" song.
-Take 1 drink anytime I mention "free tickets."
-Take 1 drink anytime you hear a guitar solo.
-Take 1 drink anytime I talk about something on Live 105.com.
-Take 2 drinks anytime I play a request (text or phone).
-Take 2 drinks anytime I put a caller on the air.
-Take 3 drinks anytime you hear anyone else's voice while I'm on, be it another Live 105 jock, an in-studio guest, or a band.
-Drink 1 whole beer if you ever hear me use the dump button.
(Check back here every so often, I will periodically change up the rules)
Cheers!

Getting to Know Your Live 105 DJ
The Bernard Pivot Questionnaire (The ones from Inside the Actor’s Studio)
1. What is your favorite word?
Dude.
2. What is your least favorite word?
(Insert racial slur here).
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Loud guitars, scantily clad women, philosophy.
4. What turns you off?
Belligerent people.
5. What is your favorite curse word?
Lets be honest, there’s only one REAL cussword left – c**t, so I would have to say that one. I never use it, but now that we’re all so used to hearing f**k, s**t and hell (I can even type that one out without being censored), there’s only one word left that truly shocks the ears like a proper cussword should. Makes me think we need to come up with some new ones. Any suggestions?
6. What sound or noise do you love?
Fart sounds. I don’t care what you say; it’s still the funniest noise in the universe!
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
Ice scraping, fingers on a chalkboard, Dashboard Confessional.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Gigolo.
9. What profession would you not like to attempt?
Anything that involves a cubicle.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
“We’ve saved you a seat over there between Mohandas Gandhi and Jim Morrison. It’s an open bar, and Jeff Buckley will be performing at 8.”
Final Rule:
DRINK RESPONSIBLY!!! If, at any point during the game, you feel that you may be exceeding a safe level of intoxication, STOP DRINKING! I will not be held responsible for your actions should you do something stupid as a result of drinking along with this game. Live 105 and it's parent companies are not responsible for your actions (or this game of mine, for that matter). I am not responsible for your actions either. YOU are responsible for your actions. Of course, PLEASE Don't Drink and Drive!! Oh, and if you are under 21, please do not play this game with alcoholic beverages.
Jaeger’s Quick Bio
I’ve received more than a few calls while on the air asking me how I got where I am, and lots of other DJs seem to put up little bio’s on their web pages, so I’ll kill two birds with one stone here.
I...
Grew up in Petaluma and Santa Rosa. Not as bad as you might think. As a kid, I enjoyed the semi-rural environment and the safety it provided against the urban crack-cocaine explosion of the 1980’s.
Attended High School in Santa Rosa. Also, not as bad as you might think. I spent as much time hanging out in the East Bay as I could though, once I got my license. To be honest, much of high school is kind of a blur – lots of rock ‘n’ roll and stupid behavior (how that is different from my life right now, I don’t know).
Attended Santa Rosa Jr. College. Transferred with AA and AS degrees (somehow I earned two of them while I was there). This was where I discovered that radio was actually a viable career choice (albeit a low-paying one). My first year and a half were spent as an environmental studies major (don’t ask me what I was thinking – probably that I actually wanted to do something positive with my life), but I soon discovered that I hated science and loved radio.
Attended San Francisco State University. Graduated with a BA in Radio and Television, which you don’t really need for a career in radio, but there was no way I was going to miss out on the college parties, uh…I mean experience.
Started Working at Live 105. Began working on the promotions team while I was at SF State. You know, going to concerts, hanging out in bars, passing out stickers after shows. I then moved up to a position as a board operator, working behind the scenes in the air studio. Helped produce the Friday Night Game Show that ran on Live 105 for a while, and was then offered a position on the air.
Now. 3 years later – 6 since I started at the station, and I’m still on the air at Live 105 (duh). Life is good.
