Around here, life is grand - go somewhere else to find grumpy thoughts.
Here are some things about me as a member of civilization:

1. I bowl a modest 457 series; not too shabby at all, and apparently, impressive to pleasant-looking ladies.
2. When I walk into an art gallery, I cross my arms. I look at art better with my arms crossed.  I look for a few minutes, read the blurb, and move on with a considering expression on my face.  Yes, even the stuff at 111 Minna.
3. I like electro, retro, and house like ghetto.  Man, Green Velvet is awesome

You'll most likely see me:
a)  eating at El Farolito in the Mission for burritos and quesadillas.  Dee-lish.
b)  getting a haircut and some crazy style at Madusalon on Divisadero.  That place has great music too.
c)  walking my dog on Union St/SF or riding my bike with him to Safeway in the Marina.  Exercise for all.
d)  inhaling pizza from Zach's in Oakland or Garrett's in Campbell.  Pizza is sustenance after partying.
e)  surfing at Manresa or Pleasure.  Nothing like man against wave.

Fav bands in quadruples(in no particular order):
Cure, Green Day, Muse, NIN,
Silversun Pickups, AFI, Arcade Fire, Radiohead
Dandy Warhols, White Stripes, LCD Soundsystem, Tool

And now answers to one of those silly surveys:

Name?  Pedro.  Vote for me.

Where do you live?
box number 4586, underneath the Harrison St. off-ramp of the Bay Bridge

What's the vibe like?
noisy, spacious, yet moldy.

We're headed to the bar, what are you having?
anxiety issues due to my insecurities around pleasant-looking girls

First album that you purchased?
"C is for Cookie-Cookie's favorite songs".  track 7 "Goodbye Little Cookie" always brings a tear to my eye.  Thankfully, I didn't know about poetry writing in the closet until high school.

First concert?
Spring, 5th grade.  I played trombone.  It involved a lot of spit.

Favorite movie?
the mandatory 20 min. sexual harrassment video shown to us during orientation here at work.  informative yet entertaining.

Item you'd like obsessed Japanese fans to send to you?
pictures of themselves outside my house flashing the peace symbol.  if they're obsessed as you say they
are, they should know where i live.

Any final advice for LIVE 105 Activists?
Be greedy as possible and take advantage of the presales and goodies that you can get because you're not getting anything free from me.  Except this piece of advice.  So, I guess I lied.

Here's some stuff I've been listening to lately, and maybe you'll be listening to it yourself.  I'm always open for recommendations, so hit me up.

PETE'S TOP 5 ALBUMS OF 2007

#1 Album: M.I.A. -  Kala

Song: Jimmy
M.I.A.’s first album was my favorite album of 2005, and this album is amazing as it spans multiple sounds, from the Bollywood style of “Jimmy” to what could be an audio capture of a street festival in “Boyz.”  In essence, I appreciate how the variety of sounds are pertinent to the tracks and keeps the music interesting, while not appearing as a novelty.  Insightful lyrics without preaching, and the depth of the variety make this my favorite album of the year.

#2 Album: Radiohead - In Rainbows
Song:  Nude
This album is Radiohead at its finest.  Each of the band members showcases their talents especially in the uptempo guitar-driven tracks.  The acoustic ballads don’t disappoint and although not as innovative as their early works, this album delivers music that is intricate and emotive as well as tracks that are full-on rock songs to head-nod to.

#3 Album: White Stripes - Icky Thump
Song:  Rag and Bone
I’m a fan of 70’s rock, as well as the blues/rock that embodies the White Stripes.  This album encompasses both styles and WS provide such an amazing blend of the two.

#4 Album: LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver
Song: Time To Get Away
Just plain fun dance-punk with irreverent, humorous lyrics.

#5 Album: Arcade Fire -  Neon Bible
Song:  No Cars Go
I’m a HUGE Arcade Fire fan, and this album showcases growth in their sound.  Compelling lyrics and more emphasis on the strings, brass, and guitars on this album make it easy to listen to without tiring of their sound.
