TIGER ARMY
Tiger Army’s roots run deep. Brought together in early 1996 at legendary punk collective 924 Gillman in Berkeley, Tiger Army opened for longtime hometown friends AFI and in fact, borrowed AFI drummer Adam Carson for their set. The road from Gillman Street to LIVE 105’s BFD 2007 can only be described as pure dedication. Members were shot. Members changed. Situations that would have finished other bands were dealt with. Against all odds, Tiger Army was able to rise above and tour with the likes of Dropkick Murphys, fellow BFD 2007 headliners Social Distortion, as well as the legendary Morrissey. Tiger Army is credited with bringing the “psychobilly” style to the attention of the United States underground, while also transcending genres with its intoxicating mix of vintage punk, rock'n'roll and bittersweet melody. |
