Bloc Party on air w/ The Woody Show

Bloc Party is backstage here at NSSN! The Woody Show just wrapped up their on-air interview with the band and now the guys are busy signing a ton of autographs. There are listeners who have been waiting an hour to get their posters signed! The guys were really cool and even posed for a bunch of pictures with LIVE 105ers after the interview. Looking forward to checking out their set in about an hour.

The Woody Show is loving the NSSN chatroom right now - Katie, Woody and Greg are gathered around the Macbook reading all your messages in between interviews with rockstars and consuming tasty beverages over here. Okay guys, enough chatting . . . get back on the air already! Quote of the night so far: RAVEY - “I’ve already made friends with the bartender!” And it’s only 7pm. . . it should be fun signing autographs later on tonight once those drinks kick in!

Franz Ferdinand just stopped by the LIVE 105 broadcast booth to chill out with Woody, Tony, Ravey, Greg and Menace, talk about Scotland and tell us what one material item they can’t live without. Check back soon - we’ll be posting a podcast of the whole interview in case you missed it!

With only one hour till their opening set, Dizzy Balloon came upstairs to kick it with Jared and the LIVE 105 crew on the air and live on our NSSN webcast. Dizzy Balloon beat out over a hundred other Bay Area local bands to be the NSSN local band contest winners and they’ll be hitting the stage soon!

Franz Ferdinand just wrapped up their soundcheck and they sounded awesome! We’re stoked to hear their set later tonight! The doors open in one hour and Dizzy Balloon is gearing up to hit the stage and kick off NSSN 2008! Meanwhile, Surfer Spud brought a giant bowl of gummy bears - you can see ‘em on the table on our webcam. I bet that bowl will be empty before Jack’s Mannequin hits the stage - we can’t stop eating them and now there’s a major sugar rush backstage!
